    Debt and Equity both should in one's portfolio. Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme is a very good debt instrument.

    Discipline or no discipline, at least some part of your portfolio should be in ppf or ssy to bear the unforseen circumstances. No one can predict the market situation. So this will provide the peace of mind and courage to hold the other part of equity in the time if distress.

    Why not? Markets are so uncertain. Fixed income schemes must also be included

    One always have to maintain balance between equity and debt portfolio. For debt there is no other better product than SSY. The only drawback is that the money will be on daughter's name. Although for some people might prefer that.

  • @rules436
    @rules436 8 дней назад +4

    When you concider SSY, you need to see that its EEE from tax perspective. now it adds 30% on investment, and 30% on intrest compared to FD..
    Comparing to ELSS, it adds 10% capital gains and any expense or STT fees...overall practically comparing gains from ELSS on chart, SSY gives aprox 9%-9.5%adjustedto tax and fees..

    • @FailedFinances
      @FailedFinances 7 дней назад +1

      Very nice analysis brother.. I also had same question when he said more returns in ELSS.. but if tax saving is also a goal say 80c..then it's kind of becomes equal

    • @rules436
      @rules436 7 дней назад +2

      @@FailedFinances ELSS had around 20-25% returns post-COVID-19, this is what Mr Ade told here, historic returns are in likes of 15-18%. How I see this is, ELSS comes with risk, SSY on the other hand gives the same return as corporate bond papers, if you are in the highest tax bracket.

    Very wrong tone & mindset. Critisising SSY is improper. 8.20% tax free interest. Equity market returns are completely volatile. Its fair to have a allocation to debt & equity in fair proportion.

    Ssy is the best option ! Full stop. Just don’t give into these. Risk free 150 rupees is far better than risky 190. Diversification is required but don’t give all into equity.
